Resources

On this page we’ve put together a number of resources to make it easier for schools to connect with arts and cultural organisations.

Links

  • Connecting with Culture is a database which enables you to identify arts organisations across the South East of England
  • Surrey County Council has an interactive schools database with information on Surrey schools, links to Ofsted reports etc.
  • Arts Partnership Surrey is an established network led by arts representatives from many of the Surrey districts and boroughs.    The Arts Partnership Surrey website has details of current projects,  opportunities and call-outs relating to Arts Partnership Surrey work.  The 4 minute film below gives a sense of the scope of projects initiated and supported by Arts Partnership Surrey.
  • Surrey Arts is Surrey County Council’s arts service which aims to increase people’s participation in the arts in Surrey in partnership with other organisations.  Surrey Arts is also the lead organisation of Surrey Music Hub.
  • Artswork is the Arts Council of England’s Bridge organisation for South East England.  Bridge organisations are funded by the Arts Council to connect the cultural sector and the education sector so that children and young people can have access to great arts and cultural opportunities.
  • Surrey Music Hub is a network of music organisations and schools working together to bring more musical opportunities to young people in Surrey both schools and in the wider community.
  • Artsmark is the creative quality standard for schools, accredited by Arts Council England. It provides a clear framework for teachers to plan, develop and evaluate arts, culture and creativity across the curriculum.
  • Arts Award is a range of unique qualifications that supports people aged up to 25 to grow as artists and arts leaders, inspiring them to connect with and take part in the wider arts world through taking challenges in an art form – from fashion to digital art, pottery to poetry.
